The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released on August 28, 2023, a final rule to require reporting of standardized quality measures in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The rule requires mandatory annual state reporting on three different quality measure sets, including child and adult core sets, health home core sets, and behavioral health core sets.
